I had this UGLY piece of cs left over from one of my many failed gelato attempts and I realized that it was sort of this weeks CC colors. When I saw the WT to use leftovers, I decided to try to revive it. I had originally made circles of color and blended them with a baby wipe.....i ended up with something that looked like what you use a baby wipe to clean up rather than art. First i stamped the petal outline stsmp from Concord and 9th to make the circles look like abstract flowers. Then I colored in a little definition with the gelatoes and added white acrylic paint. A little gold splatter and some die cut flowers and it was done and it was revitalized. It went from ugly to a fun, abstract artsy card.

I have been avoiding starting my Thanksgiving cooking. Temps are expected to be 90 degrees here. Just perfect for having the oven on all day.

Francie, you have such a knack for seeing possibilities in your bg "rejects." Great idea to turn the swirls into fabulous flowers. We had a heat wave this week too. It was 59 degrees here! Today it's 52 and pouring. Turn on the air conditioner and get that turkey going ;) Happy Thanksgiving

I've changed the keyword, Francie...I thought I'd seen notification (yay) that you'd uploaded a card but couldn't see it in the gallery. I didn't most of the evening trying to fix my computer, but I'll have to wait for a new part so I'm limited to my phone and a VERY slow old PC which doesn't want to connect with SCS. I'm envious of your temperatures as we're expecting frost overnight.
But to your card, that abstract floral background is wonderful. It makes me think of the colours and designs my mother liked in fabrics. Personally I find there's s very fine line in blending gelatos with a baby wipe and just making a mess. But it's hard to imagine that this was ever a fail.

Brilliant leftovers on this stunning card Francie! Oh to see all the leftovers you might have I bet you have some amazing pieces to put on cards just like this one. Nicely done.
Oh! I love this! So artsy!!! I love the circle pattern in the background! You did a fabulous job rescuing this art piece! The flowers and the little banner look terrific with your background. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We need an email chat soon to catch up!!! Our Thanksgiving was nice. Seth seems pretty sad, which is sad for mom but still it was a nice Thanksgiving! Hugs!!!
