This week's Clean and Simple Challenge, hosted by the lovely Tricia, is to create a Thanksgiving or "thanks-themed" card - a *perfect* challenge for us as we approach our Thanksgiving holiday in the United States this week! Though Thanksgiving is still a few days away, I must say it is a bit of a challenge to think fall at this point, as here in Minnesota we've dealt with snow off and on and every store I have been into in the last several weeks is chock full of Christmas already. My "fall" mindset switched off a bit ago I'm afraid... :-D
I had fun designing this card, especially since it uses my newest stamp set that I just couldn't wait to get my hands on once I saw it in this year's Holiday Mini catalog!
I stamped the main sunflower image in crushed curry, pumpkin pie, and soft suede inks on a whisper white banner panel, then outlined random petals with my gelly roll glitter pen. (Unfortunately, the sun was not cooperating today and I couldn't for the life of me get the sparkle to show up on camera. Oh well - you'll just have to trust me that it's there!) I used foam mounting tape to mount that to the rest of the card (the background whisper white panel is also foam mounted for extra pop).
Thanks so much for looking, and thank you Tricia for a fun challenge!
Blessings,
C
