I don't usually buy digital images but I haven't found a Chinese Lantern rubber stamp that really grabs me. And I do love them! This is for my aunt, who provided the Chinese Lanterns currently growing in my garden - and the bunch of them decorating the sitting room, carefully brought home on a crowded commuter train a couple of years ago.
Image printed and coloured with pencils, then I sponged in some colour, added the sentiment, edged the panel with a gold pen and added it to a white base.
Photo on my blog of a lovely oil painting I have had for...hmmm, I guess over forty years, I would have got it when my grandmother had a stroke and moved in to care). It's a January Bouquet with Chinese Lanterns, Honesty (Lunaria, silver pennies), rosemary and ivy.

I got this Power Poppy image myself. I've always loved CHinese Lanterns. Your card is lovely..........what size did you print out the digital? I love your coloring, and the sponging in the bg, and showing the painting on your blog makes this all make sense to me. Well done, my friend. I'll be using my digi soon!!

I don't believe I've ever seen these in anything but a green color! Gorgeous in orange. Maybe the ones I see around here haven't changed to color when I see them?

This looks beautiful Sabrina. I love the painting and photos on your blog. I tried leaving a message...hmmm not sure where it ended up in cyberspace LOL. Unlike you, I am seriously addicted to buying Digi images.
