I hope I got Robin's colors right today. I am never sure if gold means gold or if it means that pretty golden yellow color in the sample. I guess I could have looked at the teams cards, but I don't like to be influenced by them. I went with gold.
This is for a friend who just got a new Labradoodle puppy. I colored this cute digi to match the new pup. Then I paired it with the classic Peanuts saying "Happiness is a warm puppy" and used my Peanuts font. To get some gold into my BG, I rubbed Versa Mark on the embossed polka dots and sprinkled gold EP. I like the way the stray EP gives a sort of distressed look.

I love that you don't look at the samples first, and just go with what your heart says. (I am not always that willing to be creative from the inside - I often look at other samples to draw my inspiration.) Your interpretation of the colors is perfect. Gold to me says yellow/gold - and what is a better symbol to represent yellow/gold than a sweet lab (ra-doodle). I have to admit, I am partial to yellow labs. My last two dogs have been yellow labs. This sweet image, and your great colors, have stolen my heart just like it will capture the hearts of the recipients. And just as surely as their new pup has. Sweet sweet addition to the gallery today.

I do't like to look at the samples either. YOur card is adorable, Jen. I love the image and the gold dots in the bg. Our next door neighbors have a labradoodle, and he is so cute!!! Bigger than teacup size, though!

I couldn’t agree more! Such a sweet puppy!
Just because it was HANDMADE does not mean it was CHEAP, because why send a store-bought card that cost $4.95 when you can make it yourself for $89 worth of supplies?

such a cute card Jenn - your friend will love it- we did mean gold for the challenge today-sometimes trying to create a sample color swatch using the codes for gold doesn't always show right on a computer screen-
