For Game Night VSN preview! My awesome SU! upline Lyssa Zwolanek sent me a roll of Bermuda Bay ribbon today and it inspired me to use that as my monochromatic color.
To get my ornament lighter than the sentiment I used my MISTI. I stamped with Bermuda Bay ink, then stuck a sticky note over the ornament and inked up the entire stamp, removed the sticky note, and stamped. I repeated this twice more so that the sentiment kept getting darker while the ornament stayed the orginal shade.

This is so festive! Ribbon is often my inspiration, too!
Very clever way to get shading on your image!
Thanks for playing along with my challenge!

This is so pretty, I love Bermuda Bay and your new ribbon is lovely. Excellent way to get color variation on your image (I'd probably forget to remove the post-it at the appropriate time! lol)

Terrific. Love the color. I like how you stamped repeatedly to get a darker shade, but kept the ornament in the lighter shade. The Misti was essential for that technique. Looks awesome! Fabulous background with the three panels and stamping. The distressed edges are cool. Well done for the challenge. Love the bow. Isn't it fun when one thing is the start of it all. Great card. TFS
