Sabrina has challenged us to blast off into space today. You know I can't resist these space cats. Some day I'll put them in front of a plaid background and all will be right with the world. LOL.
I have a Bugaboo astronaut digi that I've never used, but space cats it is today. I watched Francine's tutorial and almost used that technique, but I just don't like to deal with watercolor. So I did kind of the same technique but with alcohol inks. Then I colored, fussy cut, and popped up my cats and finished off with Glossy Accents for their helmets.
This card will go to my friend Christine. For anyone who remembers back in February when my Zumba instructor was fighting for her life due to sepsis and spent over seven months in the hospital--I have great news. She's doing so well. She spent a little over a month at home and right now she's back at rehab in Boston, but this time it's her two week prosthetics boot camp. She has two prosthetic legs and is doing awesome with them. I obviously have to send her a card to cheer her on!
Ink: Ranger Alcohol Inks and Spectrum Noir Markers
Accessories: Spellbinders Card Creator A Dies, foam mounting squares, computer generated sentiment using "Impact Label" font from fontspace.com, Glossy Accents
I love the alcohol ink background! It's gorgeous!!!! I like watercolor what I don't like is the watercolor paper that I can afford! I think from what I have read there is a much better watercolor paper out there but not in my current budget so that is where I get disappointed with watercolor.
Your alcohol ink background is rich!!! Cats in space, oh yeah, cats rule!!!

Who could resist those space cats! And the background is fab. Much less drying time with alcohol inks. Thanks for bringing your furry felines into space today.

What a fun space scene with the cats. I'm so happy to hear your friend, Christine, is doing so well. Wow! What a nightmare she has been through. She is sure to be cheered up when she receives this card.

Really cool background scene for your adorable space cars. I understand not liking to deal with watercolors. I haven't had as much luck with them as alcohol. You did an amazing job. I'm glad your friend is better. She will love the card.
