This started as a very mundane, neutral and pale gelli print. I pulled out my airbrush and added color with copic R's and YR's over stencils although the pattern did not show up well. Having invested in product to foil and failing miserably, I decided to just put the whole thing through the laminator with a sheet of foil and surprise! Small gold flecks adhered to the paint leaving a shine on the background. I next cut out the Tim Holtz tree from the tag along with the Tim Holtz mixed media die. Die cut again from Shimmer Sheetz and inlaid the pieces including the tiny dots from the mixed media die. Insane, I know. No room to stamp so used my favorite flourish stamp from Inkadinkado and stamped it in the lower corner and embossed in gold. Stitched a small star for more texture.

I love the way this turned out! The inlays look fantastic, so maybe you aren't insane after all
Wonderful texture with the foiling, too. Who would have thought?

I love your gold surprise! Those little flecks of gold that were picked up when you ran it through the laminator are amazing! I really like the pale pink color of this...wonderful with the gold.

Great save with this tag Nancy. It is now a gorgeous and elegant tag with the soft background that looks AMAZING with the gold highlights. Great job inlaying that tree ... definitely a bit of time invested there. Thanks for joining my tag event! xx
