Not the result I was expecting but not because of the nature of the technique. I will try this again with a different brand of paints. I wish I had remembered this brand doesn't mix well with water and that the lighter colors tend to go transparent, not remain opaque when layered on darker colors.
The results certainly go well with the photos and the layout of the page certainly shows off the background.

Still it is an interesting background even if the paint did not play well with others!! I like the looks of it with your photos, it does have a chilling feel to the page. Or maybe that is because it is slightly chilly in my house tonight!!

This looks terrific Melissa. I tried and failed at this technique, I never thought to try different paint. You have inspired me to give it another try. Love the photos and no, you don't look cold.......hmmmmm.
