A challenge three-fer today! Shirley challenged us to make a humorous birthday card, so I found this Bugaboo digi. On the inside it says "Stay safe and have a happy birthday."
Bonus--the image has pie on it, so it works for Toni's challenge from yesterday. I missed yesterday's challenge because I was still in Connecticut for work.
Then I saw Lydia's challenge and thought wouldn't it be fun to use pie colors for that background. Unfortunately, I couldn't try more than one layer, because I don't have enough time in the hour before I have to go to work to let layers dry. So I just tried the pie crust colored paint over the cherry colored paper. I think it came out pretty cool, but I definitely want to try it with more layers when I have more time.
Awesome challenges, Ladies! Thanks!

Wow, I love the way you combined these. I must have not had the right kind of paint for Lydia's challenge, I got nothing but a mess. I just don't want to waste anymore paper on it. I used my last piece of watercolor paper as it is. I don't think what I have made is even redeemable. LOL
Yours was a huge success!!!!

The technique sure sounds interesting, but I'm away from home for a week so it will have to wait till I'm home and have time. I think it made a great pie background, but most of all I think that sentiment is just hilarious!
