I'm the hostess for today's Ways To Use It challenge about and involving food. My food isn't very obvious, so I will just tell you. I had an abundance of blueberries this year. I pickled them and the result was wonderful. They taste like heaven when paired with barbecued salmon and you can paint with the juice. My purple spotches are really just pickled blueberry juice and the veins on the leaves were painted with more juice.
Thanks for looking!

Toni, I thought to myself that the splotches looked like they came from blueberries, and pickled blueberries sound amazing! I love the CAS design and the sentiment pairs so well with the card's origin.

Love your use of the blueberry splashes on this, they are so full and plump, just like your real blueberries must have been. Nice work putting this card together.

Love your creative use of foods!! Since my stamproom already looks like a rat's nest, I didn't dare bring in food as my art elements to make it an open invitation. KWIM??

A glut of blueberries! Can I come and visit ;-). I'm sure they're nicer than the mostly commercial ones from the Netherlands that are mostly what's available here (and too expensive to paint with!). They grow wild in the hills but I never seem to be there at the right time. Great card for a fun challenge. Love that you used your juice on the leaves too.

Blueberry stains were my first guess on seeing your card as I have managed to "Paint" my fingers many times over the years when picking berries - there's always a few that were way overripe and - well - squishy . . . great card and the lavendar framing really accentuates the berry stains.

Love how you used your blueberry juice....very creative. How lucky to have your own plants....sure they taste much better than the ones we buy in the little plastic "coffins" at the supermarket! Your card is wonderful with the sentiment and splashes.
