I have combined Monday's TLC with today's Sketch to make a wedding card for a couple at pur church who just renewed their vows. I thought the Medallion would be pretty for today's sketch. I cut my glossy cs and embossed the image on white. I then used 3 purple reinkers and drops of Wink of Stella onto 3 alcohol soaked cotton balls to make the bg over the embossing. I wiped off the excess ink. I added the pearls to the Medallion image that I cut into 3 and adhered to my base (at this point it was a card). I hand wrote my sentiment and then wanted to tie it together with a pearl flourish only I didn't have one in my stash. I then laid a flourish die and poked a small needle through the tiny holes in the back of the die as a guide for my pesky petite pearls. Finally finished and then wanted more color so I cut it to put on a purple panel. Wasn't quite the right size and then I trimmed off some pearls by mistake....arggggh. So, I cut a base card folding it so that one half was bigger than the other. I cut a strip and border punched it and then adhered this to make the short side the right length. I'm not EVEN going to look at thise pearls one more time....it is what it is!

This is truly gorgeous! I would never have thought to use this wonderful image in 3 panels like this, and it totally works. The sponging you did around your embossed image is beautiful and all the pearls give this card the elegance of a wedding card. ~Karen

Gorgeous!! The medallion looks beautiful with the layout. Love the techniques and the colors you used. The pearls take it up a notch. Your story of the dilemmas you faced made me laugh... at myself for doing similar things. Try to fix one thing, create another problem. All your efforts were well worth it. The couple will cherish your card. Thanks for playing in the Sketch Challenge. TFS
