It's time for a new Color Challenge! This week, Pam is our host and she has chosen the lovely fall colors of Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry, and dessert is being "grateful". It's certainly the right time of year for that - can you believe Thanksgiving is just 2 1/2 weeks away?
For my card, I wanted to try using colored pencils on colored card stock, and decided to use Fog card stock. My plan was to make a one layer card but since I haven't used colored pencils much I thought I would give it a trial run with the stamped leaves on a spare piece of the Fog paper. The leaves turned out satisfactory (thanks to stamps that help enhance the shading LOL!) and I was running out of time to complete my card, so on to plan B which was die cutting them and adding to an embossed background. I also die cut the sentiment from Cajun Craze card stock. The embossed panel was wrapped with twine then mounted on a card base of the same card stock. English Mustard and Morning Dew Nuvo drops were then added as final touches.
Thanks for taking a look and I hope you'll join us in the Color Challenge this week!

Oh, I love this card! Your colorful leaves falling down the side of this wonderfully embossed bg is so lovely. I giggled about "Plan B." I giggled with you because Plan B happens a lot for me. I love your touch of twine and splattering of Nuvo drops! ~Karen

Oh my goodness, Stef! This card is gorgeous! I love the shading you achieved on the leaves, love the twine with the long streamers, love the embossed background. Love the Nuvo drops--no matter how many colors I buy, there always seem to be others I absolutely NEED! LOL!
