I love to try background techniques so I was all about a technique with a twist for Lydia's TLC663 challenge.
I had to dig but I found my hoarded glossy cardstock. The next trick was finding a cotton ball. How is it that I have a backpacking husband who uses cotton balls plus something ? for emergency fire starter and a teenage daughter who wears makeup but not cotton ball in the house? I do have disposable dust cloths though and that was close enough to a cotton ball. I set to work covering my glossy cardstock in yummy color. IRL my background looks a lot like copper. It's so cool! Sadly the photo doesn't pick up the subtle shine and copper pigments. There are more photos on my blog with an attempt to capture a little bit of the shine.
My sentiment is from the New Leaf stamp set by The Project Bin. I love the design of this meaningful sentiment!
Thanks for the fun challenge Lydia!

Your bg turned out great...it is hard to capture the sparkle in pictures. I had the same problem. I love that greeting and the tiny leaves. What a lovely card. And I commend your creativity in finding a substitute for the cotton balls ;)
