I downplayed panels #1, #2, and #3 by doing them in white. Panel #1 and #2 are merged and done with an EF. #3 is a freeform snowflake die cut rather than a rectangle. I wanted the focus to be on the snow globe (circle #4). The bg of the snow globe was done with alcohol inks on glossy white CS.....snow and glass highlights were added later with white acrylic.

wow. my eyes went straight to the scene, of course. but then i took time to savor the supporting layers - i love the gold layer, and the ef with the snowflakes on top. i love that holiday wishes (in its matching blue hue) is on a smooth part of the paper. the coloring on the globe is spectacular - it looks like real glass and with snow really falling. lovely.

Oh, Sallie, wow! I look at this card, and the snow globe looks so very real. It's like a photo but even more like it's really there on a desk somewhere! Your coloring is amazing, and it's like the "snow" in the globe is actually moving! What a beautiful card!! Hugs! xoxo

That is an amazing snowglobe. It reminds me of one I had as a child - it was endlessly fascinating to me as we lived in England and rarely had snow. I loved the idea of it swirling around and falling on everything - but then we moved to Canada and had more snow than we wanted! Love the shades of blue and the sense of dimension you created with your skillful painting.

Adding the white to the snow globe makes it look so 3 dimensional and real!! Love the little (and I mean little) scene inside it....and the embossing outside. Wonderful Card, Sallie. TFS! Favd'
