It was VERY splashy. I have a small workspace, and it was splashing my keyboard. I'd like to try again, but as with MariLynn's recent alcohol ink technique, I think this is one for me to take downstairs. I used first Tumbled Glass, then Broken China. It didn't look very splashy, so I went for adding one more layer with Faded Jeans DOX. The bunnie's sweater is pieced from part of the background panel, after I'd die-cut the heart.
The edges of the DP were sponged with walnut stain, and then I added these lovely lace stickers which I received from redi2stamp. I pulled them out for Ky's recent MIX challenge to use stickers, and they've been waiting patiently ever since. Since I've used DOX, regular distress inks and Polychromos pencils and an SN glitter pen, that gets me into the mixed media. I also saw so many cute cards from the JellyCats IC challenge popping up in the Favourites thread yesterday that I just had to check the site out and play along - the Bashful Beige Bunny made me think of this little Verve sweetie as soon as I saw it. He's stamped on white card and on a scrap of the watercolour splash, and pieced after colouring with Polychromos pencils. The sentiment and postmark are from TCP's Sending You set, stamped with Versafine Black. I coloured the HUGS with a green pencil and then went over it with the SN clear glitter pen. I traced around the heart die and cut out a white layer for matting, distressing it before adding the bunny panel, which is popped up on foam. Heart and DP have stitching lines drawn in with a marker. I feel it's missing something, but nothing I added looked right.

Pinned to my pinterest board ...this is so cute. I love the rich shade of brown dp with the distresding, and it looks wonderful with the pretty blues. You have such a great sense of design. I can barely think of 1 card every 2 weeks, and you create masterpieces dsily. Better yet, you master so many styles and techniques. Sure wish we coulls spend time together crafting.

This is just so sweet, Sabrina! I would love to hug a bunny (I miss snuggling with my indoor bunny, Spice). Your bg turned out lovely, and you even had enough for bunny's sweater! Nice way to say Hello to someone you miss~

Love how you combine so many techniques on one card! I too like that rich warm brown background with your blue heart and bunny shirt. Paper piecing is one of my favourite techniques to do though you wouldn't know it by looking in my gallery. :-) Wonderful card Sabrina!
