For Mix-Ability (autumn color scheme) and Free For All (add fiber) challenges. Thinking of Halloween too.
Cut up and wove an old Gelli plate print and floss. Adhered to cardstock. Stamped and fussy cut little cat, stamped line of birds. Had a metallic copper painted circle from another project, adhered cat and circle. Such a different style than my usual stuff - such is the beauty of challenges, I'm finding out.
I'll try to get a better photo with my old phone!

Weaving the gel-print strips and the floss was a great way of nailing both challenges. Love the birds on the wire at the top. And oh my, what an utterly adorable little cat. He's so sweet.

Very creative and great way to use the twine. This is so cool. Love your birdies and glad that cute cat is far away from them. HA

This is such a neat card. Fabulous weaving, the strips give an eerie feel to the card I think because of the black smudging on them. Wonderful copper circle, nicely done.

Yep - these challenges can definitely put us out of our comfort zones - but some of the ones I stressed over most a year ago are now some of the most fun for me ! The strands of floss interwoven with the gelli strips make a really interesting combo for your bg. The birds on a wire make a fun counterpoint to the black cat at the bottom.

The weave is such a cool effect esp. since you had room to wiggle in the fibers with the prints
(oh, and I just dropped drips of alcohol ink & blending solution on a craft sheet and drug my yupo paper through that) (easy peasy)
