Stef is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has asked us to use Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist, Daffodil Delight, and Basic Black on our card or project this week. The dessert option is Halloween.
I saw this pattern on the Scan 'n Cut Canvas site, and decided I could adapt it to our colors. It was a learning experience for me, because the original card must have been intended for 12 x 12 cardstock. I didn't have that size in these colors, so I had to figure out how to scale the design down to fit 8-1/2 x 11 cardstock. I'm actually pretty stoked that I was able to figure it out! :-)
The rest is pretty easy—you cut out all the pieces and glue them together. Easy-Peasy. There are pop-out elements on the Tangelo base layer so that the two side houses sit forward of the house in the back.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

I am stoked for you Barbara. I am super impressed you figured out how to make this card work with smaller paper (I am very tech challenged myself so if I had figured this out I would be shouting it from the rooftops!). And you made the coolest darned card with what you did too. I love all the different elements and how they are at varying heights to add to the fun of the popup feature. Someone is going to be super delighted with this card! ~Karen.

Amazing pop-up, Barbara! What a fun piece for the recipient to get out and display each year! I'm impressed that you figured out the dimensions to make the cut fit your paper - things like that are always a challenge for me!
