I really struggled with this card design! I wanted to have the penguin "writing" the scripty word with his skating, but couldn't figure out the card design for that to make sense and have a complete greeting. I spent quite a bit of time staring at my stamps, before just moving on to something else for the time being. Finally, I figured out a composition! I stamped the penguin in black ink onto mixed media paper, and die cut him with the coordinating die before using my colored pencils to add a bit of shading to his belly, and color to his beak & skates. I also cut an A2 size panel of mixed media paper, and used 2 of the "Landscape Trio" dies to cut it into 3 sections: background, pond, & foreground. I temporarily taped the top & middle sections together on the back, and placed it in the corner of my MISTI. I positioned the "jolly" on the pond portion, and double-stamped with Soft Pool ink. I also added a couple of flourishes to each end of the word. (This is a "show-off" penguin! LOL) After untaping the pieces, I blended Tumbled Glass over the pond to give it a bit of color. I also stamped the "Small Forest" image repeatedly on the top section with Soft Leaf ink.
For the sign, I channeled my inner Sandy Allnock. I stamped the rest of the greeting on another scrap of mixed media paper with black ink. I penciled in a sign around that, and then inked over the lines with a Micron pen. I colored the sign with Brushed Corduroy, fussy cut it out, and inked around the edges with Gathered Twigs.
To assemble my card, I adhered the top portion to the top of my white card base, then glued down the pond butted up below the tree line. I glued down my penguin, so his skate overlaps the line at the end of "jolly." I glued my sign in place, and then adhered the bottom snow section over the bottom of the signpost. I thought about adding some glitter glue or something, but decided just to leave it.

Oh my gosh - really stunning. I mean - wow! I'm so impressed you drew the sign and made everything work with the MISTI. How did we live without that tool? Love this card!!
