For Chrissy's Falliday challenge, we were to stamp and spritz with water. I chose to use some of the new distress oxide inks that my family gave me for my birthday because I wanted it to run well. After stamping, I spritzed with water and watched the ink run. After it dried, I stamped the detail stamps for the flowers as well as the stem.
I chose this birthday greeting because it says "Warmest wishes on your birthday" and this fun technique made me think of melting...from heat, right? I heat embossed the sentiment on vellum and added a petite petal flower to bring some pink to that side of the card.
Fun challenge, it was fun to play with the inks. Thanks for looking.

What are the odds? I just clicked on the gallery and your card was uploaded. I love this idea you had here, with the oxides and then stamping the greenhouse garden. Love the french filigree too. Thanks for the inspiration. This is sweet!

Oh.my.gosh. Catherine! What a gorgeous card this is! I spotted the detail stamp of those Greenhouse garden flower stamps right off. Thank you for the great inspiration on this because I would never ever have thought to do this before. I love the effects you achieved with these wonderful oxide inks, some water, and your stamping. This is going right into my favs! ~Karen.
