Here's my card for Jeanette's Falliday Fest Challenge - from Trash to Treasure - to recycle something
I used a real leaf I picked up on a walk, embossed it using Brown and Cranberry embossing powders to try and 'embalm' it so it wouldn't crumble (but it will probably crumble if mailed so I may just hand it to someone!) The embossed leaf does feel kind of rubbery!
I layered it over a die cut arch and added 3 enamel dots. I stamped a lovely autumn quote from PaperArtsy along the bottom

Beautiful card with your real "embalmed"(chuckled at that one)leaf. Handing it in person is a stellar idea, Julia. Love how you framed it and added a most appropriate quote.

Julia, first, that leaf is gorgeous! What a beautiful element of nature... and embalming it surely enhanced its beauty. Your card is also gorgeous. Such a fun design and a fabulous quote. You have certainly done a great job with this challenge!
Thanks for going From Trash to Treasure with me today!

I just knew this had to be a real leaf! How clever to seal it with embossing powder. And I love the color combinations. Gorgeous card, with great layers.

Wow - what a cool idea! It may survive after this technique you used - what a fun experiment. It came out super awesome and you have corrugation again so I love, love it. Great card!!!!
