For this card I used Heather Telford's Distress Stain Watercolor technique here: Distress Stain Watercolor Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers. The only difference was that I tried it using Stampin' Up! dye inks instead of distress inks. It still worked pretty well, although the ink didn't stay wet as long. I inked up the stamp with SU markers on the various parts of the flower. Then I spritzed the stamp with water and stamped it onto the watercolor paper. I used my water brush to pull the ink into the stamp to fill it in. I added touches of more ink here and there where I wanted it to be darker, and then sponged in from the corners using Stampin' Up! Bashful Blue and Old Olive. I have another card in my gallery next to this one using the same technique but different colors and distress inks. Enjoy!
