This is my sample for Cathy's Tickled Pink WTUI challenge. She's looking for pink animals, the sillier the better! Hope you'll join us for some fun!
I followed the Center Step card tutorial for for Dina's Falliday Fest Tutorial Tango challenge. Sponged pink on the edges and added pp. Stamped, colored and fussy cut the hippo. I love using colored pencils to shade alcohol markers. I have so much more control for both highlights and shadows plus it increases the available colors. Used gel pens for metallic features and to add some sparkle. I sponged some pink around the edges of the die cut label and shaded with grey marker to provide more shadow. Popped my silly hippo up with dimensional tape. Stamped and fussy the poles, added eyelets and threaded the twine for her tightrope. Added a die cut Happy Birthday to complete. TFL

Can't wait to find out what the challenge is, if your sample is anything to go by Miss Carla, it's going to be fun. The centre step is one of my favourite folds and who doesn't love an elephant...riding a bike...on a tightrope....holding a brolly. Your colouring is fabulous too!

This is so fun and inviting. My eyes just danced around enjoying the fun! Beautifully colored and the layout is dynamic! Thanks for tip on colored pencils and markers. Will have to try that.

great job with the step card, and i LOVE that balanced pink hippo! super clever to have the two sides of the step card to serve as the poles to hold up the balancing wire. super cute, fun, celebration card.
