Monster and spider webs combine in an eerie way by stamping the images onto white and bleeding colored tissue paper and adhering them to a plastic laminate chip sample. They are layered several times with gel medium and a heat gun. Each time, just before they dried, I ripped the tissue paper off (one has to be brave at this scary step) leaving only portions of the images. Kept repeating until I was satisfied. It's a very fun, unpredictable technique as one never quite knows where or how much the color will bleed or how much of the image will remain. I used a sanding block to remove unwanted tissue from the edges of the laminate sample.. I stamped the sentiment last with Stazon, filling in with a Pitt Permanent marker and then dotting the letters with a white Pen-Touch Pen. The chip was layered onto a vintage picture of a Hawaiian volcano erupting (covered). That was layered onto a piece of ripped medical gauze and then that was layered onto the card which was brayered in a tone on tone neon orange background, which doesn't show the true color due to my lame scanner.

What a cool technique with the tissue and clear plastic, love the layered, partial images! Love the texture from the gauze and that vintage image made a great backdrop for your artsy piece.
