I used the Yarn Block technique with white acrylic paint on a panel of navy cardstock for my frame. Then I die cut a window using the largest "Stitched Circles" die. I stamped the bird onto a scrap of mixed media paper with navy ink, and colored it with my Inktense pencils, using a damp paintbrush to pick up the color from the pencil & apply it to the paper. I stamped 3 trees onto mixed media paper, using Green Hills & Soft Leaf inks for the base layer, Pine ink for the second, Cottage Ivy for the third, and Versamark with white embossing powder for the final layer. I used 2 layers of powder on that layer to get good coverage and emulate snow on the trees. I'm not sure it really mattered in the end, though, since I put them behind the vellum. Once my images were dry, I die cut them with the coordinating dies. I colored a panel of mixed media paper with Blueprint Sketch. When that dried, I flicked on water droplets, sprinkled embossing powder on, and heat set it to create the look of snow falling. To assemble my card, I adhered a layer of vellum to the back of my frame, covering the window. I glued my trees to the Blueprint Sketch panel, and adhered that behind the window. I stamped the "Let it snow" from "Color Layering Christmas Tree" on the vellum and heat embossed that. Finally, I glued on my cardinal so it looks like he's sitting on the window edge, and adhered the panel to a white card base.

Andrea,
wow, the technique you did turned out fabulous, it's quite the blizzard! I love your beautiful cardinal and the placement of him in front of those stunning trees!
Thank you so very much for making a card for my challenge, it is deeply appreciated!
