The thing about these Mama Elephant pandas is that, once you have them out on your craft table, it's really hard to put them away again - they are just so darned adorable! So adorable that I actually made 2 more like this, just changing the size or the mat color. This one will go to a friend who is facing significant health issues and could use some cheering up. The other two will go into my Send a Smile stash.
Stamped the panda and die cut. Die cut 2 additional "blanks" to use for dimension. Stamped the row of envelopes twice on scrap of PTI white cardstock and twice more on my focal panel. The PTI cardstock produced a crisper image and the matte finish gave me the contrast I wanted with the textured, shimmery Bazzill panel. In addition, by stamping on the Bazzill panel, it made positioning my die cuts for the inlay soooooooooooooo much easier. Die cut all the stamped envelope row images.
Colored my envelopes with Copics.
Assembled my focal panel then stamped the sentiment (MFT) with black Versafine and heat embossed. (Didn't attach the bear until after I did the sentiment to make things easier.)
Mounted my focal image to white fun foam and matted with black cardstock.
Cut panel of blue shimmer Bazzill and attached to card base. Added my matted focal panel.
- Star sequins
- Wink of Stella over the envelopes and white parts of the panda
- Glossy Accents on all the hearts.
I just love how it turned out. Hope you do, too!
