This is for Toni's terrific World Sight Day challenge.
My sweet sistah from anudder mudder, Stamperrobin, introduced me to these beautiful digi images by Aurora Wings. I used the same image last month on a full A4 sheet, this time I printed the image to fit onto a 5"x 7" card.
I just used copy paper, Prismacolour pencils and Zest it. The Zest-it comes in a 3" pot that is filled with a sponge impregnated with blending fluid. It is terrific stuff and best of all you can't spill it. It is also fine to use on copy paper too.
If you are colouring on copy paper, it is best to sit the printed image on a small stack of copy paper or a smooth writing pad. Any surface that has a hint of texture will effect your colouring. Having said that, certain images look great when you have coloured an image that is sitting on a toothy paper pad.
I had a truckload of trouble uploading this card, I see that a few others are too. It was suggested that I clear out my cache.
Isn't that the weirdest term ever "clear out your cache". It sounds like something the doctor would say...hello Mrs Jones, while we are checking out your downstairs lady bits, we will clear out your cache.
Thank you for looking. I hope everyone is having a happy, inky week. The Falliday Fest gallery looks fabulous!!
Edit: I just remembered I did use a a grey Copic (T2) and walnut stain distress ink.

Now we definitely need to see a video of this outstanding coloring and techniques I've never heard of! I feel a serious need to go shopping after seeing this incredibly gorgeous card. Your coloring just blew me away and your skin tones are just perfect! And you did it on copy paper? Even more remarkable.

I think you added those beautiful eyelashes didn't you? I have her sitting here and have colored her eye! Mine doesn't have the extensions added but after seeing yours I'm thinking she needs them...can you come over real quick and fix them for me?
This is just gorgeous mate! I love the lavender and green for the flowers and hair and her dark eyes makes her look so kind...it must be because they look like a sweet doe...doe eyed isn't it? Beautiful Susie!
You are a master story teller as well! Gosh I wish I had your story telling ability!
Oh, PS, I have 4 of those gorgeous Aurora images started...most just face and eyes so far, a couple with hair mostly done too! Why 4 instead of just 1? IDK!

I've been looking forward to reaching your card as I work through the WT gallery, having read the description in my emails. What wonderful pencil blending, Susie. I love the soft colours and slightly aged look. Smiling at Robin's comment above, there's a small very upmarket and expensive eyelash salon in the village near my aunt called Doe Eyes: she could be their pin-up girl.
