This is another one for the Sketch Challenge that I’m hosting this week. I combined the sketch with Ann’s Falliday Fest Challenge - It’s a Blizzard. Use a block wrapped in yarn or twine to stamp white paint or white ink on dark cardstock to make a snowy background and then add people or winter creatures. For my snow background, I used twine that was already fraying and wrapped it around a wood block. My white craft ink pad had dried up, so I experimented with an Illuminate pigment ink pad. It’s whitish ink with a shimmer. The results are not as striking of a contrast as with white paint or craft ink, but it’s there with a lovely glisten. I tried to capture it in the photo. I put a snowflake embossed panel on the card base and use a glittery mat under the top panel. I colored the snowpeople’s accessories with markers and added snowflake sequins. These snowpeople don’t care of a blizzard is coming; they say “Let it Snow”.
Hope you enjoy the weekly and Falliday Fest challenges going on and have snow much fun! TFL

This is so darned cute Diane. I love this gorgeous background you achieved and how it really shines with that sparkly mat behind it. The snowmen are just adorable. I love the embossed bg and the wonderful sentiment with falling snowflakes! Fun! ~Karen.
