This is for the Sketch Challenge I'm hosting this week. We have a keyword with repeating numbers which doesn't happen very often; so we're doing something different by going back 600 challenges and repeating SC66 first posted in 2006. Please see the challenge post for more details. The layout has only two parts, so it's an easy one to layer and embellish without taking away from the design.
I combined my Sketch Challenge card with a Falliday Fest Challenge, as a reminder that you can do a Falliday Fest challenge with any of the weekly challenge. Dina's Tutorial Tango Falliday Fest Challenge states to use a tutorial that starts with the same letter as your name. D is for Diane and Duoprinting with Chlorophyll. (My initials happen to be DC) I selected a leaf stem from my backyard. Placed it on watercolor paper and ran it through my Big Shot as I would do in order to emboss. This fabulous leaf print was left on the paper. It was a fun & fragrant to experiment with different plants. To complete my card, I stamped a sentiment over the leaf print and layered the panel on a shiny copper paper. Then I wrapped it with a thin copper metallic thread and accented with a button. The Thanksgiving sentiment is heat embossed in copper.
I hope you have a chance to use the sketch and that you enjoy the weekly & Falliday Fest challenges going on this week. I give thanks for all my SCS friends! TFL

Wow, Diane- this is spectacular! Love your leaf "print" using a real leaf (all of ours are almost turned and quite dry now...will have to check it out to see if I can find one that will work with this technique :-)). The colors look amazing and the image works perfectly with the sketch this week- thanks for inspiring all of us! Hugs and I hope you have a blessed week, sweet friend!!

Great idea to go back to SC66! A good sketch so I could combined two challenges. Your leaf turned out so pretty! Love the Kraft and copper! Beautiful card!

Diane, your leaf print is beautiful, and thank you for your thoughtful write-up! I love this technique and had so much fun with it this summer when Bridget and I were together. I actually still have a little stack of pretty backgrounds to work with - maybe this would be the right time to use them up! Thanks for the inspiration, and for playing along with my challenge! xo

Love that tutorial and how it turned out Diane. I have not tried that one so I think I will need to add this to my need to try techniques. Wonderful job on Dina's challenge with this technique.
