For Lydia'a Get Drunk - alcohol ink Bauble
After watching the tutorial for alcohol ink bauble, I decided to use vellum instead of Yupo paper.
I dropped Stream & Caramel inks on a piece of vellum that is actually embossed with stars. Even though you can't see them, the texture is there.
Once the inks dried, I dropped gold mixative on it, then blew through a straw to move it around. The gold is much thicker than AI so I had to blow pretty hard to get it to move. Needless to say, I got a little light headed, so I guess I felt a little drunk! Lol
I cut the vellum with a circle die. Then cut a smaller O ring in a pale blue denim DP.
I die cut the J & Y in the same DP to complete the word JOY.
Once I laid it out, the vellum piece reminded me of the earth, so I finished with die cutting To The World words and tucked dk turquoise CS under the white CS. The base is a lighter shade of turquoise.
This was really fun and will use alcohol inks again.... probably skip the straw blowing!

Wonderful Christmas card. Great colors you used. Terrific job on Lydia's challenge with this beauty. Brilliant to use that Joy die cut over the wonderful technique.
