I love the simplicity of today's sketch as I think it works well to let these words of encouragement take front & center.
This week my mother will move out of her home of 65 years into assisted living - and though we let her come to the decision on her own & in her own time, I know the reality of moving is breaking her heart. I am hoping that these words will give her strength & encouragement when the sadness sets in. The inside says, "One of the happiest moments in life is when you let go of what you cannot change". TFL

This card means a lot to me - I totally get the meaning behind it. My mom just passed away and my sister and I regularly say to each other "We can do this." Prayers for peace and acceptance for you and your mom and your family. It gets to a point when assistance is needed, and we need help in order to help. My heart goes out to you guys. Acceptance makes it easier.
p.s. please PM me her name and address. I wasn't as good as I could have been about sending my mom cards across the miles. Time to pay it forward (which is honoring my mom's legacy because she always sent cards). There is also an RAK here on SCS if you want to know more about it. It's the teapot challenges. They were amazing for both my best friend who just ultimately passed and my mom who just ultimately passed.
Awww! Your story is making me tear up. As we get older stories like this have so much more meaning. I love this pretty pink paper. I like Lela's idea. If it would not be confusing to her I would love her address too. Hugs!

What a fabulous card! I love the sentiment as well. The assisted living will take getting used to but in the end, my mother had some good years there meeting some great people. We moved my mother out after 65 years of the home they built as well. Wasn’t easy but she had a lot of family support.

LOVE your message on the inside, Linda. May your Mother have many happy years filled with new friends to go with her old. Your card is a beautiful one to support her decision.
