I have challenged myself this year to try and use up my retired products, therefore I have used mostly retired CS on this card. For the stripe element, I dry embossed the Bravo Burgundy CS with the Festive Embossing folder and adhered it to my Very Vanilla card base. I stamped the sentiments then cut them out with the smallest Stitched Circle thinlit and mounted them on Not Quite Navy scalloped circles. I used my paper piercer to make holes on one for the brads. I cut the branches with the Beautiful Branches Thinlits and glued them to the card front then popped the flowers up on dimensionals. I used the Beautiful Branches thinlit birds and cut them out of scraps of paper that I had been doing some sponging on for another project. They were just the right size for my flowers.

Welcome back, Eunice! I really like the way you've used embossing for the stripes. I never even thought of the birds from Thoughtful Branches for this challenge but you're right, they are the perfect size for the flower. Nice work Eunice and I think that using your stash is a great goal and one I should adopt myself. Thanks for joining us at As You See It.

Good for you, using retired products! This Petite Pairs is a set that was one of my favorites...you've inspired me to get it out again! Perfect for your little branches and birds! That embossed background is awesome too! Thanks for sharing this with us at AYSI!

Good to see you back in our gallery again, Eunice! And you have an admirable goal, one that all of us could aspire to, I'm sure! It's like coming home seeing all those retired colours again! I love the embossing folder you used to get the stripes for the challenge and the little birds from Thoughtful Branches are perfect! Thanks for playing with us again at As You See It Challenge!
