This was made for a challenge that my Stamp Club was doing. Everyone stamped one image for each member of the club, who then had to go make a card using it. In this case, the image I received was the camera from the Travel Post set. I made this soon after my Grandmother passed away last year as a tribute to her. I scanned my favorite picture of the two of us and miniaturized it on the computer. I used the buttons and thimble to symbolize her button and thimble collections and also because she tried to teach me how to sew when I was a teenager. I also brushed off some of the embossing powder from the background before I used the heat gun in order to make the lace appear more aged.
I really like this kind of challenge because it really made me stretch my abilities to come up with a card from an image that I may not have ever wanted or liked. This is now one of my favorite cards and very sentimental to me (for obvious reasons).
