Thought of colored ornaments when I saw this image here, and decided to use my brand new Penny Black stamp.
Stamped the ornaments in my MISTI, using markers and small ink pads - sometimes spritzing with water before stamping, sometimes not - adding bits of color at a time and stamping repeatedly. I added a bit of outlining in some places with the marker straight to the paper, and sometimes spread the ink with a damp paintbrush, also. Here's the critical part: When I was satisfied, I cleaned my stamp and then stamped with versamark and clear embossed my image. This allows me to watercolor the bg without worrying about the ornaments bleeding ink. Stamped the sentiment, splattered with diluted white acrylic paint and some black ink. Jill Foster has some great videos of this technique if you are interested - she is a master!!
