Today's challenge is to create something that brings us to a joyful, happy place. This card does this in 2 ways: obviously the sentiment, but also I love to sponge beautiful colors on my cards!
On card front: lots of sponging, stamping (Stamplorartions Mixed Media stamps), some extra sponging around the edges in black, splattering with white acrylic paint. Stamped sentiment with my NBUS sentiment from PTI, and matted with both black and white. Die cut bird and branch and assembled. So much fun!

Gorgeous, Maura. I love the colors and your sponging is super. The bird is beautiful, also, and you've used a wonderful sentiment.

Wow...the colors you chose for the sponging are gorgeous, and the mixed media stamps are perfect. This is one of my favs type cards to make, but having to work more hours this past year, I am restricted to coloring with sharpi rd in my car at lunch. The bold white frame for your bird and the sentiment look great.
This is brilliant, Maura! It's one of those cards that stands out a mile in a gallery! I'm thinking maybe I could sponge these awesome colors onto pp? And I love the texted and sponged bird, too, but it's that sediment that made me sigh! (Ordering!) Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #12!! Hugs, Darnell
