Julia sent me a wonderful RAK of two House Mouse stamps, and this one was just perfect to use for Carla's great WT challenge this week. You'll be able to find why after the challenge has been posted HERE.
I stamped the image on cream card and coloured with Polychromos pencils, then distressed the edges and sponged them. Looking through my papers I found this lovely one received long ago as a RAK and decided to put it to good use. I sponged the edges with Walnut Stain, and added it to a kraft base stamped with the coffee ring from Timeless Textures in Walnut Stain.
But not before I had added some burlap ribbon, and my paper buttons made from the tutorial HERE. I used the smallest Spellbinder oval, trying to make them look like coffee beans, and scraps of brown card. I stitched them on through the ribbon. The card still seemed a little unfinished and the partial flourish was lying on my desk, so I added it along with a couple of flowers punched from a coffee filter and saturated with a clear glitter pen.
Carla, thanks for the fun challenge; Julia, thank you for housing some mice over this way!! DH loves his coffee, so this one really made me smile.

How fabulous is this. I love all the rustic, layered papers and terrific textured elements. Your colouring is beautiful. The icing on the cake are those amazing handmade buttons! Wow, Sabrina you never fail to inspire me and lead me to something new.

From the perky on their faces, those delightly little mice found a treasure! Those coffee bean button are fabulous and very fashionable as well! And your filter flowers are super! I use filters all the time as liners in flower pots; now I can ‘grow’ flowers from them!
Thanks for the inspiration Sabrina!

Sabrina- what a great card-I'm tickled pink you got to use the Java Jumpers stamp for such a cool challenge. It's a toss-up which I like better- the delicate yellow flowers or the cool oval "coffee bean" buttons! Well done my friend

Your little piece of art looks like it's been framed in a shadow box. Adorable images and embellishments all put together perfectly. Those mice are super caffeinated!

Well, Sabrina, you really achieved the look you were going for. My eyes went looking for the "DIY Decoration" first and I didn't look at the main image. My first thought was "her buttons look like coffee beans!" Nice job!
