This is my sample for Cathy's WTUI challenge this week, which you will find HERE.
I used the same stamps/sets on both the inside and the front. The map on the front was simply stamped on white card, and layered onto kraft.
For the inside, I stamped it on mixed media paper using Versafine black, coloured it with Inktense pencils, and then added a layer of gesso to tone it down. I distressed the edges with walnut stain and vintage photo.
The sentiments, bookworm, globe and paper plane are all from SNSS's Bookmarks Bits and Pieces. I made a chalkboard-style panel for the front, stamping and embossing in white on black card, and adding some white smudges. Inside I stamped directly onto my map after the gesso had thoroughly dried. The front seemed to be missing something, it looked better after I had added a couple of buttons.

So inspirational! Darling design for both the in and out of the card to work beautifully together.

Wonderful card with the globe and map....soon kids will not even know what a globe is. I like the subtle way you colored the inside map. Terrific sentiment and you really aced that back to school thrme.
