For the sketch challange this week, as soon as I saw the layout ,two things popped into my head..Diwali and Christmas .As I have been working on my Diwali cards (its next month), I went along with the same theme. So here is my festive and Blingy card.
I used my current favourite stamps the " Hennah elements " and few other Indian themed stamps for this card. I stamped on the backgrounds too to give them more colourful and ethnic look. The colors and all the elements chosen here represent Diwali, festivities and auspiciousness.
Hope you like it)
I would like to add on to the description with what Diwali is. Diwali, the "festival of light" is the biggest festival celeberated in India or by Hindus around the world and is sort of like their Christmas. It has a huge religious and cultural significance as it represents how good concurs over evil and prevails.people start preparing for this festival from weeks before and decorate their house ,buy gifts and sweets for friends and family and pray for the prosperity of their loved ones. Its a happy occasion and you can feel the joy and festivity in the air.

I looked up Diwali because I didn't know about this celebration. Very cool!!! I love the idea of celebrating victory of good over evil. Love the symbolization of the lamps as a sign of celebration and hope! Fabulous card! Bright and cheerful!
