Recently, my counselor retired, as well as his receptionist. She & her husband plan to do some camp hosting, so I decided to make her a retirement card with a travel theme. I stamped the trailer (from an old stamp set that I don't know the name of) onto bristol paper with black ink. After letting the ink dry a bit, I colored it with my Zig markers & a water brush. Blue is her favorite color, so I made sure to make the trailer mostly blue! After the watercolor ink dried, I fussy cut the trailer. I cut a banner from peach cardstock, to complement the blue. I cut a window in the center, and adhered a piece of acetate to the back, since I wanted to make this a shaker card. I found a map paper image online, and downloaded that & printed it onto white cardstock. After lining the sides of the banner with foam tape, I poured some clear seed beads into the shaker well, and adhered my map paper to the foam tape to seal in the beads. I die cut a piece of teal check paper with the rectangle die, & matted that with a darker peach cardstock. I adhered my shaker to that, and glued my trailer on top. For the greeting, I used block letters from "Perfectly Penned" to spell out "Adventure Awaits!" onto a piece of pool colored cardstock. I cut that into a strip, & adhered it to the top of my banner. Finally, I mounted the card front to a white A2 card base.
