I have to confess that I wasn't at all sure what today's MIX challenge is actually meant to be - this is my interpretation of it; though I had to add a little yellow and blue, I used as much red as I could on my travellers.
Book page gessoed and left to dry. Stamped the HFC map. Stamped the sentiment, then die-cut the label. Added my little travelling birds, with a cloud and wave die-cut from some small stencilled scrap in my box. The layer underneath is embossed with a script ef and edged with a black marker.
Sorry, hope this fits the challenge. I am a "rule follower", and found it hard to know what to do but didn't want to pass up the treat of an early challenge post.

I love this, Sabrina!! Great take on today's challenge. My current book has taken me to Russia, a wonderful folk tale called The Bear and the Nightingale. Am loving it so far!

This is definitely a challenge wide open to individual interpretation - my first thought brought to mind the joke what's black & white & read all over - (a newspaper) so thought maybe we were supposed to use newsprint some how ! ? ! ? Using the COLOR red didn't even occur to me ....
I like your literal interpretation of reading yourself around the world! Your EF look like loose illegible script which fits the "reading" bill for this girl.

Love this Sabrina! The map bg for the sentiment looks great and I love your adorable traveling birds. Seems to me you've covered enough things to read to meet any requirement. ;)

This looks like a well read card to me!! Love all the elements of reading, especially the subtleness of the word bg in the tag! Cute characters adds sweet whimsy.

I just love this, Lisa. The whimsical little air balloon and the little duckie sailing the seas...love that map tag which sets the allusion of the voyage little duckie has begun. Great script embossed by...like on an ancient map!
