Card for today's Try A New Technique challenge, to make a "speedy" card that can be made in multiples & more specifically, used to cheer someone up!
I used the Playful Backgrounds set (circles and dots) to make a full-page (8-1/2x11) background on Whisper White CS & then cut it into panels to fit the card bases. Rounded the bottom corners with the Corner Chomper, which I see needs to be sharpened!
I used my Cricut to cut the ovals, but you could use dies or whatever you have. I stamped the kitty from Little Hellos on WW CS with Tuxedo Black, and "watercolored" the image using a paintbrush & the markers scribbled on a plastic lid I keep around for that purpose, & spritzed with water. Also used the Summer Sun inkpad "smooshed" directly onto the lid.
I layered the flower trim on the grosgrain ribbon (the ribbon is actually sort of a teal, looks more 'blue' in the photo, darn it!) & then cut three flowers off of the trim to add to the sentiment banner. Added mini bling to the center of each flower.
Can't remember which set the sentiment comes out of...I split up my sets years ago & of course never thought to make an index of the sets before I did that...silly me! :-)

So cheerful and so colorful. I feel happier just looking at it.

Oh, I do love that cat image, I don't use it nearly enough. And making a whole background sheet was the way to go for mass production, I didn't think of that.

Definitely a card to cheer you up...love your background paper...colors are definitely cheerful. Your little kitty is so cute and colored beautifully. Cute flower trim adds oodles to your ribbon trim and sentiment. GREAT card...love that it's "speedy!"
