Another thank you for one of the Chaplains who did my step-dad's funeral. (Thought the little bee was a little "girlie" for the male chaplain...LOL!)
Stamped poppies on MFT kraft cardstock, colored with Copics. Matted with black Bazzill cardstock.
Stamped sentiment on Bazzill cardstock and layered to card base. Added matted focal image.
I was really tempted to add some Wink of Stella to the flowers, but I decided they were just fine without it.
While the card design was easy, I really struggled with what color I wanted my front to be. White seemed too stark, and cream seemed to clash since the kraft has some green undertones. Finally noticed the bought thank you's I had sitting on my desk and noticed that the image had a fair amount of brown in it (birds, nest, branches) and the background was an aqua-ish color and it looked pretty. So into my colored cardstock I went and found a piece of the textured Bazzill in a similar color. I think it works!
