This is for Carey's Sketch Challenge. I received this friendly scarecrow image in a swap a long time ago. Carey's terrific sketch provided a perfect spot for this scarecrow that makes friends with the crows instead of scaring them away. The colors in SU's watercolor pencil set worked great with the autumn theme and the DSP. I mounted the image on Early Espresso and die-cut together so that a dark brown color would show through the stitch marks. I cut my corners by first die-cutting a square, and then cutting the square in half corner to corner. The DSP paper is heavier and has lovely texture to it. Fun card to make. Hope you can play along with the sketch. Love to see what you make! TFL

I'm in love with this scarecrow! The dsp you chose is perfect. Beautiful coloring - tell me, do you color with the pencil, then blend with the water or pick up the color from the pencil itself? I've been interested in trying w/c with pencils. Pinning this!
