This is project one from one monoprint background.
Pulling from my stash of gelli plate prints, I selected one made on an old manila folder that was split in half. I used metallic gold and UB titanium acrylics for a subtle base print.
Images were stenciled with black acrylic paint which were colored in later with watered down acrylic paint.
For texture I used a recycled a baby wipe clean up cloth that I have been saving for re-use in projects.
I adhered double sided tape to the back of it and cut it in strips, cut one into a flag and one as is for layers of texture.
I had a napkin with beautiful plant designs laying on my table to set my drink on while working that ended up on my project. Perfect! I used mod-podge to adhere it to project.
Next I stamped the phrase on white tissue paper using Staz-on ink. I tore it from it from the tissue and glued it to the project with mod-podge.
I trimmed down a recycled dryer sheet, that I used to clean up paint messes, to back the front panel. It's tough to tear but it will. I trimmed it down with scissors to frame the panel, after mounting the layers on the mat board I used a glue eraser around the edges of the dryer sheet and it soften/frayed the fibers. Lastly, I pulled from my stash a gold metal dragonfly to embellish.
