For the As You See It (#AYSI14 and CAS(E) this Sketch (CTS#235) challenges , I made a plaid corner for the Nutcracker adversaries to stand in - with no visible weapons. Three attempts before clean, successful background, but I love these colors for these characters.

When I saw these colours, they didn't immediately speak of Christmas to me and now I've seen this, I wonder why not! Stunning in the colours and the way you used the sketch is fabulous. Huge ups for attempting your own plaid - I think three attempts is pretty good! Thanks so much for joining us at As You See It with this beauty.

With a former ballerina in the family, Christmas WAS the Nutcracker, and you've brought back some lovely memories with your card! I'm amazed at your hand-produced plaid and the challenge colours are worked so well into the colouring of the Nutcrackercharacters! Thanks for joining us at As You See It Challenge!

You combined the two challenges very well, Amy! I love the color combination and the design of your plaid. The Nutcracker characters are so cute! Hideko
