I'm still hooked on this new coloring book that I've got. Isn't this a fun bouquet that looks just like a stamp?
For Diane's sketch this week, I went off to my box of scraps looking for parts #2 & 3. I decided I liked this Argyle print and thought it looked nice with the faint paisley pattern of this pink paper. I wanted something simple for the background, but just didn't quite have the right DP, so I made my own by softly sponging Spun Sugar and double stamping a script background. Then I assembled the whole card and had to decide how to color the bouquet. I never color last, but for some reason this time I did. I mean it when I say that coloring these flowers was my very last step. But I was stuck in this gray and pink color scheme and I didn't know how to quite get out. These are not really my colors, so I needed to jazz it up somehow. Enter Pinterest. I searched for "Pink gray color palette" and the first pin that came up had navy blue. The navy bow and berries saved this card for me. Making cards is always an adventure isn't it? Ha!
