I gave the Brick Wall tutorial a try for Monday's challenge. I used a patterned paper for the bricks but first brushed on white gesso before heat embossing the flower. After cutting the bricks I sponged each. Die cut the sentiment and added a brad, popped it up. Tied two twines, one silver, one black, around the matted panel before pasting to the ivory card.

The DP with gesso makes a fabulous wall. I really like the way the gesso fades out at the top and edges to let the paper show more, too. And your bold floral silhouette looks just great. Thanks for playing along with the TLC this week.

A lot of work went into this card with the gesso and sponging the bricks individually but it was well worth it for this result. The background is gorgeous for your flower silhouette. Love this!

WOW! Lovely brick bg...so clever in pattern then "whitewash" with gesso!!! Love your silhouette flower against the bricks and the added interest of a diagonal sentiment mount...a switch of direction!
