THis is for Lisa's WTUI challenge for this week - you can find it HERE.
For years the only stamp I had suitable for this was a lovely Rubber Romance one, and then last year I went shoe-shopping and came home with not just one but two pairs of boots ;-).
This Unity image was stamped on kraft and coloured with Couleur d'Art pencils, and a little white gel pen here and there. It's matted on black...the sentiment was stamped on an old scrap which is either Canvas or Linen, with tumbled glass as the main colour.
My base was created using the Faux Stamped Leather tutorial. I used Flower Shop and a leaf stamp. An extra strip was used to create the little buckled strap across the card - and lots of piercing finishes it off.

Love the faux leather technique, I so need to do it on a card. Great cowboy boot. I do not own a pair of cowboy boots in my entire collection. But I would love to...someday. Giggles!!! Super stunning card! Thank you for making such a wonderful sample.

Your Faux Stamped Leather background is just amazing ~ it looks like if I touched it, it would feel like leather! I love the strap you made and the cowboy boot is a perfect Sunflower "vase"!

Wonderful card with the bouquet filled cowboy boot(we were on similar wave lengths today). The "tooled leather bg" is terrific and looks like the real deal.

Wow. The boot image is super cute, but your faux stamped leather background really makes this card stand out. It totally echoes the leather of the boots in your main image and the bit of hardware you added is the cherry on top. Fabulous.
