I created this card for the "Cards for Little Hearts" card drive. Christina Hor is collecting holiday/winter cards for children with congenital heart conditions at Nationwide Children's Hospital. You can find out more at her blog: http://www.christinahordesigns.com/p/hug-heart.html. I used a striped patterned paper from my scrap stash for the left border, and die cut it with a "Stitched Borders 2" die. I colored the image with colored pencils, added Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops to the berries in the greenery, clear Spectrum Noir shimmer pen to the bow, and Star Dust Stickles over the snow. I used my craft knife to cut a slit in the image, along the right side of the package in the mailbox, and slid 3 die cut envelopes into that, so they appear to be sticking out of the mailbox. I also extended the "snow" lines on the ground with a black felt-tip pen, just to make the image appear more complete & grounded. I added another envelope to the greeting strip, along with a punched white heart that I coated with Stickles, just to fill in that empty space. I also added white die cut snowflakes to the background behind my strips & focal panel, to add a bit of texture.

This is simply lovely!! I love how you put the snowflakes in the BG. Thank you so much for mentioning the Cards for Little Hearts. I might just want to do that, too.
