I tried to use the salted background technique but I couldn't make it work - either because all I had was fine table salt or because I used the heat tool and dried things too fast. I'll have to try again when I can get my hands on some rock or sea salt.

I think it looks pretty..like water. I did find it worked better letting the salt dry on the surface.

One of the tutorials I watched said DON'T heat dry because it doesn't give the salt enough time to work and leaves a cloudy look - I used table salt, let it dry 10 hours and got great results. That said, this is still a soft pretty watery look for your card.
