For my card, I applied Distress inks direct to paper being sure to overlap the colours and then I sprinkled salt down my card front on the diagonal. I sprayed with a touch of water to help activate the ink and the salt and set aside to dry. I found the heavier you applied the ink, the stronger results you would have.
(I used regular heavy white cs as I didn't have any glossy paper. The results would be more dramatic if using glossy)
I set my paper aside to dry completely and removed the salt with a credit card. It created what looked like rain to me. I stamped the image and the sentiment.
Hope you will come and play along with us. http://snippets-karen.blogspot.ca/20...h-of-salt.html
Also adding my card to Julie's DTGD challenge.

How dramatic and full of life!!
Actually I find glossy card gives quite a different effect, not necessarily more pronounced - I can't think of the words to describe what I found.

Karen, this is awesome - those vibrant reds & yellows echo the joy of your woman dancing in the rain. I love the geometric block effect in your bg too.
